The Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN) observes the assets-, financial- and income-based situations of agricultural holdings from year to year on a representative sample of ca. 2000 farms in Hungary. The system is mandatory for the EU Member States and voluntary for the farmers.

Besides farm-level accountancy and production data, enterprise-level data from the production costs of different agricultural products is an important part of Hungarian FADN. Data is mostly used for planning and analysis of agricultural policy measures. Legal framework is provided by Council Regulation (EC) No 1217/2009, Hungarian legislation is based on the 127/2013.
